Named after yogi B.K.S Iyengar, this form of hatha yoga pays close attention to alignment of each posture, anatomical details, and precision–in form of care–in practice. To embody a Quiet Mind in an Active Body, compared to other styles, Iyengar yoga poses are held for long periods and are often supported or modified with props such as blocks, ropes, belts and blankets.
